They have opted for AS256 encryption in addition to OpenVPN, IKEv2 and Vee PN protocols to get a secure network.

How To Use

To use on a Windows PC: 

As I mentioned earlier, one of the many ways to use UF Health VPN is to use the Pulse Secure Access Client app.

  • Visit the vpn.ufhealth.org site.
  • Please provide your username and password.
  • Select the appropriate domain.
  • You can see Pulse Secure under Client Application Sessions.
  • Then click Start.
  • Click Yes for all the download/installation requests.
  • Finally, go to vpn.ufhealth.org and click Sign Out.
  • You will then see the Pulse Secure icon on your PC’s Start menu or on the desktop.
  • Open Pulse Secure.
  • Select the appropriate domain again and click connect.
  • Provide your login information

Now you are ready to receive your service.

To use on an Android device:

  • Go to the Play Store on your Android device.
  • Search and install Pulse Secure.
  • When the installation is finished, open the Pulse Secure App.
  • On the Welcome screen, type vpn.uf health.org.
  • Follow these steps:
  • Connection name: UF Health
  • URL / Server name: vpn.ufhealth.org
  • Username: <your username>
  • Password: <your password>
  • Realm / Domain: Select the appropriate domain.
  • Click UF Health Items to connect.
  • Enter your login information.
  • When the connection is done properly, you will see the VPN connection indicator.

To create a Gatorlink account

You must do a qualifying Affiliation to get a GatorLink account at the University of Florida. In addition to your qualifying affiliation, your UF registry requires a personal email and at least a valid phone number. After providing these 3 details, you will be sent an “Invitation” email and you will be able to open a Gatorlink account.

UFAD: UF Active Directory, UFAD Accounts Directory coordinators provide accounts centrally by setting standards. Its accounts use GatorLink’s username and password. If your GatorLink ID does not work or does not have an ID, use your 14-digit library card number below the barcode of your Gator 1 card without dashes or your 8-digit UFID number with dash. 

Shands: Shands Hospital is a teaching hospital. The hospital is under the University of Florida at Gainesville, Florida. Its accounts use the username and password of the employer and other affiliates.
